Cape to Kruger (MKT04)

Day 1 (BB)

Arriving in the Mother City, Cape Town, you will be met by your National Tourist Guide, who will accompany you to your place of stay where you can spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2 (BB)

Today you have the opportunity to explore Cape Town. During the morning you can venture up the seventh wonder of the world -Table Mountain (weather permitting) or visit the historic Robben Island ( Pre book via internet) where Nelson Mandela spent 18 years of his imprisonment. Staying within Cape Town city you will be able to enjoy the rich architecture and visit some of the historic buildings during the afternoon.

Day 3 (BB)

After breakfast we head out to the Cape Peninsula. You will get to see the famous African Penguin and visit Cape Point, which form part of the Table Mountain Nature Reserve and international heritage site. This Nature Reserve is the famous meeting place of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans. Along the way you will be driving through some of South Africa’s well known towns such as Simon’s Town home to our Naval Base.

Day 4 (DBB)

We depart Cape Town and make our way to the world famous Wine Routes. South African Wines, which were mainly inspired by the early French Huguenots, are world renowned today and ready for our tasting. Today you have the opportunity to buy your favorite wine directly from the Wine Estate and they can even arrange door to door delivery for your convenience. Visiting places like Franshoek and Paarl, we arrive early afternoon in Stellenbosch to enjoy some of this town’s charming atmosphere before sunset.

Day 5 (DBB)

After breakfast we head to Oudtshoorn, the Ostrich Capital of Africa! Upon arrival we will check in and you can relax and enjoy the afternoon at leisure.

Day 6 (DBB)

We will visit one of the many Ostrich Farms in the area and if you are interested and fit the requirements you can even try your hand at riding an Ostrich. We will also pay a visit to the largest caves found in South Africa just outside of Oudtshoorn.

Day 7 (BB)

Departing from Oudtshoorn we head towards Tsitsikamma via the picturesque town of Knysna. At the Tsitsikamma National park you can do various hikes in the afternoon. Here you also have the opportunity to do a traditional braai with your guide if you do not choose to have dinner in the restaurant.

Day 8 (DBB)

This morning we will make our way to Port Elisabeth to be in time for our flight to Johannesburg. Arriving in Johannesburg we make our way to our accommodation where you can spend the evening at leisure.

Day 9 (BB)

Today is set aside for City sightseeing and shopping. This allows us to visit historical Pretoria and the vibrant township life of Soweto. You will also have the opportunity to do some souvenir shopping which might vary from African crafts to sparkling diamonds.

Day 10 (BB)

Leaving early we head for the province where the sun raises, Mpumalanga. We make our way through the Highveld, the eastern escarpment and into the Lowveld. We pass through beautiful little towns and breathtaking panoramas, visiting places on our way like God’s Window and Bourke’s Luck Potholes and the Tree Rondawels.

Day 11,12 (DBB)

Getting an early start for the best game viewing possibilities, we enter the Kruger National Park from the south and spend the next two days within the Park.

Day 13 (DBB)

Swapping the park accommodation for luxury on our last night we stay in the vicinity of Kruger Park in one of the private lodges. We relax and enjoy the last evening of our tour.

Day 14

After breakfast we head back towards Johannesburg where you will be in time for your flight back home.
